Welcome to Discover The World Children’s Center
Children use writing instruments, books, and other tools for studying scientific and social concepts. Digital technology is used every day by most people and children seek to emulate this. First they do through imitation and representational play and then later through mastery of the tool for their own self expression and learning. We make learning this important tool fun for the child.

Why use technology in the classroom

By using technology as a learning tool, it benefits children by building community, expanding imagination, developing vital math and literacy skills, promoting creativity and fostering engagement.

At Discover The World we believe the use of technology is important. We teach appropriate use and ensure the content is age appropriate as well as educational. Every preschool and school age classroom will have access to a I-Pad.

Use of Technology

Time using technology in the classroom is used during specific time.

Individual I-Pad usage is limited to 10 minutes per day.

Use of Digital Tools

IPads and Smart Boards are available in our preschool and school age classrooms.

  • iPads: They are used mainly during free choice time, or during open center time.
